Natural Hairstyles

To achieve long, black, natural hairstyles you have to care for your hair. The first step for many is to either cut off all their relaxed hair or grow out their relaxed hair, and gradually trim the ends off.

Here are a few pages on how to care for natural hair:

1) Moisturize your hair daily
By moisturizing your hair daily, you are helping your curly strands of hair grow rapidly. Dry hair can be avoided though, as it is caused by over-exposure to sun or heat, without protection. Examples of over-exposure are:

  • excessive use of styling products, such as hairdryers.
  • excessive washing with chemical substances, such as relaxer and dying products.
If you can stop doing these thing natural hair can grow faster and longer. You can swap for  products that put moisture into your hair such as: nettle oil, plantain oil etc....there is a huge variety. It  has been proven that even mayonnaise can help with dry hair.

Here is a natural formula to achieve beautiful hair:

Mix two egg yolks and beat the mixture until it is foamy. (Egg yolk is used because it contains very enriching nutrients, vitamins A and D, of which both contribute growth of hair cells.) Then massage the mixture into the scalp of your hair, and then rinse it off with luke-warm water. If possible this should be done at least once a month.

If you have been using relaxer or dying your hair regularly you should try using tomato paste as well as it enhances the natural pH of your hair, due to the pH.

In addition to these natural remedies, be sure to have a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables that supply our bodies with all the nutrients it needs and also try herbal teas that do wonders for our health. And do not forget that that hair belongs to the body, just like any other organ, therefore what works for the metabolic system will surely work for our hair too!
